Websites for Canberra allied health practices

When the front desk is with a patient, the next caller rings the next practice. And most of your good reviews can't legally go on your site. We build within the advertising rules, keep your Google listing right, and catch the calls reception can't take.

What lands on your phone when you can't pick up.

What we fix

You want the booking. Reception was with a patient.

When every line is busy or the front desk is tied up, the caller gets a text back from the practice straight away, and reception gets the message written out with a button to ring them back.

You want to use your best reviews. Most of them you can't.

A review that mentions a symptom, a treatment or a result is a testimonial under the National Law, and testimonials are banned from health advertising. We never put a clinical review on a site we build.

You want people searching your service or your name to find you.

Your Google Business Profile set up and kept current, and a site that says plainly who you see, what you do, where you are and how to book, with your privacy and complaints details where patients expect them.

How Canberra Judges a Clinic

A registered practice can't use a review in its advertising if the review mentions anything clinical: a symptom or the reason for the visit, the diagnosis or treatment, the outcome, or the practitioner's skill or experience. Under the National Law those reviews are testimonials, and testimonials are banned from health advertising. That rules out three in four good reviews. Of 17,849 positive reviews of registered practices, only 4,521 (25.3 per cent) leave out anything clinical and talk only about the experience: the welcome, the kindness, the clean rooms, the booking.

Our work

Koch Partners Psychology's website, built by Well Handled

Koch Partners Psychology

Forensic psychology practice, Canberra. Client.

A forensic psychology practice needs to hear from the right people: lawyers, courts and government agencies who need an independent assessment and a report. So the first screen says exactly who the practice is for, a crisis line sits at the top of every page for anyone who needs help today, and the articles Ahu has written for lawyers and psychologists came across word for word.

What Looked After fixes

  • People find you and ring you: your website and Google listing, built around what your customers look for and kept current every month.
  • No more jobs lost to missed calls: every caller gets a text back, and you get their message with a button to ring them.
  • Reviews that won't get you in trouble: no clinical reviews on your site, and no review request that asks about the treatment.
  • Nothing held hostage: the domain is in your name, and the site, words and photos are yours.

Ring it yourself.

Nobody will answer. That's the point.

0495 032 269

We use your number to send you one text, and nothing else.

  1. Ring from your mobile, with your number showing.
  2. Leave a message saying what you need, the way a customer would.
  3. Hang up and watch your phone. That text is what your customers would get.

What owners ask us

Can I put my Google reviews on my website?

Only reviews that mention nothing clinical, used whole. Ahpra's guidelines say a review about a symptom, the treatment, the outcome or the practitioner's skill is a testimonial, and testimonials can't be used to advertise a regulated health service. Our clinic report found about one in four positive reviews passes that test.

What happens to calls when reception is busy?

In opening hours your number rings the practice as normal. If nobody can get to it, the caller gets a text back from the practice and reception gets their message written out with a button to ring them back. After hours it goes straight to the message.

Who owns the website if we leave?

You do. The domain is registered in your name, and the site, the words and the photos are yours. If you ever leave, all of it goes with you, including your enquiry history.
