Stop losing work because you couldn't pick up.
Up a ladder, behind the bar, with a client. The phone rings out, and instead of silence the caller gets a text from your business within seconds. You get their message written out, with a button to ring them straight back.
What lands on your phone when you can't pick up.
Ring it yourself.
Nobody will answer. That's the point.
0495 032 269We use your number to send you one text, and nothing else.
- Ring from your mobile, with your number showing.
- Leave a message saying what you need, the way a customer would.
- Hang up and watch your phone. That text is what your customers would get.
What happens, call by call
They leave a message
The message is written out, and the caller gets a text back about what they actually asked for: "Thanks Sam, got your message about the hot water at the Kambah rental. We'll ring you back shortly." You see the message, the text that went out, and a button to ring them.
They hang up without a message
If they rang from a mobile, they get a short text from your business saying you'll call back. You get their number and a button to ring them.
They ring from a landline
A landline can't get a text, so nothing is sent. You still get the missed call and any message, with a button to ring back.
Their number is hidden
There's nobody to text and no number to ring back, so you just see a missed call. If they leave a message, you get that.
Ring back with everything in front of you
You know who rang and what they want before you ring back.
A simple app on your phone shows each caller as a conversation: the missed call, their message written out, and what we texted them. A notification tells you the moment one comes in.
Your personal mobile stays personal.
Tap Call and your phone rings first. Pick up and you're put through to the customer, who sees your business number, not your personal mobile.
See the job before you ring back.
Customers can text the number too, photos and all, and you reply from the app. A text from someone new gets one reply straight away, so nobody waits wondering if it arrived.
Mates don't get a sales pitch.
Numbers on your own list, like your staff, never get an automatic text. Mark any other number as personal and it's never texted again.
How it's set up, and what it won't do
The number
You get a new Australian mobile number for the business. It goes on your Google listing, your website and your quotes. In business hours it rings your phone first, as normal. If you don't pick up, or it's after hours, the caller hears your greeting and leaves a message.
Your own mobile keeps working exactly as it does now.
What it won't do
- It won't answer for you or pretend to be you. It sends one text and tells you who rang.
- Landline callers and hidden numbers don't get a text.
- It never quotes a price, a day or a time. Those come from you when you ring back.
- Anyone who texts STOP gets nothing automatic again.
Why getting back fast matters
Most businesses are slow to get back to people. When researchers sent a test enquiry to 2,241 US companies, the average first reply took 42 hours, and 23 per cent never replied at all. Firms that tried to get back within an hour were nearly seven times as likely to end up talking to the decision maker as firms that left it even an hour longer. (Harvard Business Review, 2011)
That was web enquiries in the US around 2010, not phone calls in Canberra. But the phone is where your customers are: only 12 per cent of Australian adults used a landline in 2025 (ACMA), so almost everyone who rings you can get a text back.
Nobody has measured missed calls for Canberra businesses. We're measuring them on our own clients' numbers, and we'll put the figures on this page once there's a month of them.
It comes with Looked After
The missed-call text is part of Looked After, at the same price: $300 a month, or $3,000 a year, with the $900 build waived. All prices exclude GST. See what else is inside.
